Delete Your Hourwallet (formerly Tracker) Account

You can delete your Hourwallet account and its data at any time, in the app, on this page, or by email. This page explains how, what is deleted, what is kept, and how long it takes. It describes Hourwallet 2.0 accounts; accounts created with earlier versions are covered under "Accounts from versions before 2.0".

Delete your account in the app

  1. Open Hourwallet and go to Profile.
  2. Tap Delete account.
  3. Confirm your sign-in when asked: sign in again with Apple or Google, or enter your password.

This permanently erases your Hourwallet 2.0 account, your cloud sync data (including its version history and the list of your devices), your profile photo, your subscription customer record at RevenueCat, and the Hourwallet data stored on that device, including your Wallet data. In an app version before 2.0, Delete account deletes the account of that version instead (see "Accounts from versions before 2.0").

Delete your account without the app

If you no longer have the app, delete your Hourwallet 2.0 account on this page or ask us by email.

Delete your account on the web

This deletes your Hourwallet 2.0 account. Sign in with the method you use in the 2.0 app (Apple, Google, or email and password), then confirm. The account and its cloud data are deleted right away and cannot be recovered. Accounts created with an app version before 2.0 are separate: see "Accounts from versions before 2.0" below.

We do not keep you signed in: your session ends when you finish or leave this page.

By email

Write to support@trackerapp.me from the email address of your Hourwallet account and ask us to delete it. This works for an Hourwallet 2.0 account and for an account created with an app version before 2.0.

What is deleted with an Hourwallet 2.0 account

  • Your Hourwallet account: the sign-in profile held by our authentication provider, Google Firebase Authentication, including your email address, name and sign-in methods.
  • Your cloud sync data stored on sync.trackerapp.me, including its version history, deletion markers and the list of your registered devices, if you used cloud sync. This includes your Wallet data (accounts, income and expense records, transfers, planned payments, budgets, and Wallet settings), which syncs with Hourwallet Pro.
  • Your profile photo, if you set one.
  • Your subscription customer record at RevenueCat for that account. RevenueCat is the service that manages Hourwallet Pro subscriptions.
  • Hourwallet data on your devices: deleting in the app erases it from that device, including your Wallet data and the reminders for planned payments. Data on your other devices is removed by deleting the app on those devices.

Accounts from versions before 2.0

Hourwallet 2.0 creates a new account. It is not linked on our servers to an account created with an app version before 2.0, so deleting your 2.0 account does not delete the earlier account (held by our previous sign-in provider, Clerk), any passphrase-encrypted sync data from those versions, or the subscription customer record at RevenueCat that belongs to the earlier account. They are deleted:

  • with Delete account on the Profile screen of an app version before 2.0;
  • on request by email, as described above, from the email address of the earlier account; or
  • when those app versions are retired, when we delete everything that remains from them.

What is kept

  • Purchase records held by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), which they keep under their own policies. We cannot delete them.
  • Active subscriptions are not cancelled by deleting your account. Cancel yours in your subscription settings: on iPhone, open the Settings app → your Apple ID → Subscriptions; on Android, open the Play Store app → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
  • Files you exported or imported: a JSON export or CSV file you created from Hourwallet, including its Wallet data, and a CSV file you exported from another app and imported into Wallet, are files you saved or shared. They stay where you keep them, and we cannot delete them.
  • Device backups made with iCloud Backup or Google backup can still contain Hourwallet data until those backups are deleted or replaced. They are managed by Apple or Google, not by us.

How long it takes

  • In the app (including an app version before 2.0) or on this page: immediately.
  • By email: within 30 days of your request. We reply to confirm once your account is deleted.
